The #1 PDO Thread Lift in Newport Beach, CA
PDO Thread Lift is the perfect solution for a youthful look without surgery
What's PDO Thread Lift (Non-Surgical Facelift)?
A new, fast, and safe procedure that can lift your sagging skin.
The only way to get a traditional facelift was through surgical treatment. However, doctors and scientists have studied noninvasive treatments for lifting the loose skin that characterizes a facelift in recent decades.
However, a new non-surgical method has been developed to lift and contour the sagging tissues around your mouth, neck, and body, making you look younger for minimal to moderate rejuvenation or for people who don’t want surgery.
Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are of the finest quality and have been specially designed to pass through tiny incisions. Thin, strong, and made of protein to suit medical applications.
Research has shown that PDO therapy relaxes tight muscles and tendons and prevents skin aging by improving blood flow to the area and stimulating new collagen production.
There are many different brands of PDO Threads. One of the excellent thread brands is Viola. Since 2017, Dr. K has completed 2000 PDO facelifts.

PDO Thread lift FAQ
What are PDO Threads, and how does it work?
PDO threads are surgical sutures pre-loaded with PDO absorbable synthetic sutures. PDOs are solid and durable surgical sutures used for cardiac surgery.
All sutures we use are FDA-approved, and of those, PDO sutures may be the safest material to use inside your body. Complete absorption into the skin usually takes about 4-6 months before leaving any scar tissue.
Which areas can be treated with the PDO Threads?
The most popular treatment areas are the brows, cheeks (mid-face), jowls, and upper neck. However, Thread Lifts can be performed virtually anywhere on the body, such as to lift loose skin on the upper arms, stomach, thighs, and around the knees. It may also help to prevent laugh lines and smokers lines.
The procedure is straightforward and nearly the same as dermal fillers. However, we leave a thread instead of filler inside your skin.
What is the PDO Thread Lift procedure?
- With topical and a local anesthetic, the sites to be treated will be numbed.
- The areas to be treated are then marked.
- Threads are then inserted beneath the skin in tiny hollow needles into precise locations to raise and support drooping elements without removing any skin. The inserted thread can grab hold of the sagging tissue and soft tissue and reposition the skin. There are no incisions or cuts required. It’s all about injections.
- The hollow needle is removed with the lift effect, leaving no scars.
- Depending on the desired effect of the lift, a few to several sutures will be used.
- The sutures exit through the skin, but the PDO suture remains beneath it. Therefore, various sutures and lengths will be utilized depending on the areas you wish to lift.
What is the recovery like after the PDO Thread Lift?
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil) are two over-the-counter painkillers that can be used to treat mild pain. Our doctor may prescribe stronger pain medication if necessary.
You may be feeling some minor swelling and bruising for the next few days. For the first few days, Icing the treated region and arnica is advised. A few days should be avoided from strenuous activity.
What kinds of outcomes can you expect after PDO Threads, and how long do the effects last?
The Thread Lift results are obvious and immediate, with the swelling and potential bruising clearing after 1-2 weeks.
The effects will continue to improve as your skin continues to generate even more collagen over the next several months, enhancing the effectiveness of the thread lift.
It is possible to continue to improve the results and extend the outcomes even more by adding additional threads down the road.
Suppose you want a more extensive surgical procedure or facial rejuvenation later. In that case, the PDO sutures will be absorbed completely without leaving any scarring.
What are the possible side effects of the PDO Thread Lift?
There’s a chance of bruising or swelling when using a needle, although most people experience minimal or no bruising. It generally resolves in less than one week.
There is some post-op discomfort that usually goes away quickly in most people. If the sutures for some reason become visible outside the skin and need to be removed, new ones can be placed easily if necessary.

Restoring the V-Shape
A healthy face can be evaluated by the “V-shape” created in the forehead, cheekbones, and chin. The V-shape is a sign of a healthy facial structure. Unfortunately, with the aging of tissues and the action of gravity, this “V-shape” diminishes or inverts.
The idea behind the PDO thread lift is to either create a scaffolding to support the tissues and keep them in the “V-shape” or, where necessary, to delicately lift the tissues and reposition the skin to recreate the “V-shape” where it’s been lost.
Although PDO threads can be inserted almost anywhere, even in the body, one area where they are especially effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers, which are most effective in the upper and middle third of the face.
